2012 Schedule

 

Our home bouts are usually doubleheaders featuring both the OHRG Charter Team and Gang Green—that means double the derby for your dollar!

Doors open at 3:30. The first game will start at 5 pm and the second game will kick off at 7 pm.

The 2012 season will again be held at the Ohio Expo Center.

June 16 Triple Header! Ohio & Gang Green vs Demolition City, Ohio vs Old Capital City Rollers
August 18 Ohio & Gang Green vs Chicago Outfit

New for 2012: OHRG will accept credit cards at our merch booth and ticket counter!  You’ll still want to bring cash for the Expo Center vendors, specifically parking ($5 per car), concessions, and beer. The Ohio Expo Center is located at the just off  I-71 at 717 E 17th Ave.

I HEART COLUMBUS / I HATE COLUMBUS

An exhibition to benefit the Ohio Roller Girls.

Location: Hal & Al’s 1297 Parsons Ave Columbus, Ohio 43206
Date: Dec. 12, 2009 (Pieces will be on exhibit through the month of December.)

THEME

All pieces must represent / communicate why you LOVE (HEART), HATE or LOVE & HATE our fair city of Columbus, Ohio. As long as it has something to do with that, anything goes.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Due to limited space, we will need to review samples of your work to determine if you will have a place in the show. This will allow us to not only present the best pieces possible but also maximize out money making potential both for the artist and the league. No hard feelings here people, just business.

No submissions will be accepted or considered for exhibition after this date NO EXCEPTIONS!

After September 12th 2009, you will be notified within 2 weeks if you will be in the show. Final Pieces are due to Joel or Melissa Jackson before November 15th 2009. (AGAIN, NO EXCEPTIONS.) We need the art by this date in order to scan and create prints to sell at the event.

Becoming a Volunteer/Staff Member

What are the benefits of being a volunteer?

Being a part of OHRG is fun and rewarding! You can meet new people, support an all female sport and help with a grassroots effort. OHRG wouldn’t exist with out our wonderful volunteers!

Schedule

You must be available on Thursday nights from 7:30pm-9:30pm and Saturday mornings 9am-12pm and be up for occasional day changes. We currently host our home bouts on Saturdays and will give you plenty of notice for these bouts.

What does it take to become a referee for OHRG:

On top of making scrimmages and bouts, you must be able to skate or be willing to learn. You also have to learn the WFTDA rules.

What does it take to become a statistician for OHRG:

Be able to attend most scrimmages and bouts. Also, be willing to keep track of hits, blocks and various other parts of play. Knowledge of WFTDA rules is also necessary.
